Psychotherapy for Military Families
Tricare Provider for Individual, Couple, and Marital
Therapy
Military couples and
families are confronted with unique stresses and challenges, which include
dealing with the difficult dynamics that may occur when one spouse is gone
for long periods of time due to training or deployment, or when decisions
must be made because of reassignment and relocation.
Marriage counseling can provide
help with redefining relationship expectations, managing conflict
resolution between partners, and rebuilding trust. Other issues
include partnership choices and creating a balance between career and
family life.
Individual psychotherapy
can help with symptoms of anxiety, depression or anger, among other
issues. In addition, individuals may be dealing with retirement
before they are ready to stop working, and with decisions regarding second
careers or returning to school for additional education.
I am a Tricare provider and
have worked extensively as a psychotherapist with both couples and
individuals in military service. My clients have included both
active-duty and reserve military, National Guard, and retired or retiring
veterans.
Provider for
as well as other insurance carriers.
